I like the ex-new chat, i just think people have to get used to it. Would it not be possible to keep both chats, so that people who wouldn't want to talk would'nt have to and people seeking to improve their accent could?

Brati,
Maybe you can help me,
I am trying to integrate the userplane.com webcam chat but I really cannot figure out how to use the integrated version of the chat.
the Instant install is very easy to use but it's not possible to integrate ...
Documentation for integrated version

Steps for integration : for me these are the worse explanations I have ever seen !
http://wiki.userplane.com/docs/doku.php?id=webchat
that would be great if you can help
regards,

I tried again and succeeded in getting my webcam and microphone working. It looks to me that most visitors do not have such attributes or do not know how to handle and/or prefer to stay anonymous.
I keep thinking that the old-fashioned, simple text-only screen deserves preference.
wait the new version and then tell me if you still don't like
i'll then see what we do ..
What if members wanna practice their accent ?
regards,

Very sorry to say, hope this new "chat" will soon disappear as I see no way to handle it usefully.
Never change a winning horse.
It's 'Instant-Install' but I am working on 'Integrated'.
Here is what I have to do :
The Integrated package that you just ordered is designed for sites with a user database and/or a profile system.
The procedure is here:
http://wiki.userplane.com
The first step in the integration process is to upload the XML file to your server and begin configuring and testing it. In order for us to set up your FlashCom server we will need to be sent the path to your XML file on your server. The following list will show you which API URLs we request for which applications:
Webchat/Minichat: CSXML
Webmessenger: WMXML
Userlist: CSXML
Desktop Presence: DPXML
Webrecorder: WRXML
Mediaplayer: CSXML
