I'm not sure whether or not any of this is possible but I will throw my entire idea out to be heard.

I think that Polyglot should add a class feature. What this would do is allow people to sign up as teachers or students and have an online class where students can join in. The classes could vary from scheduled events to prompto help sessions. Teachers could also accumulate points from teaching, and/or getting good reviews from students and/or moderators. Therefore fakes don't last long, but people who really want to teach can be recognized.

Also a kind of whiteboard feature could be added, where the teacher can draw or write anything they want on the whiteboard to help explain things to the class. The students would communicate through a chat interface and the teacher could kick anyone if they acted inapproprietly.

Hopefully enough people would be willing to teach that at least one or two good teachers could cover most languages and maybe more for the more popular languages.

This system could allow those who are dedicated or good at what they do to gain recognition and allow others to seek help from those people.

I hope very much that this is a possible feature despite the complexity I'm sure it would require.

Yeah, I like this idea, too. When I joined polyglot, I had something like that in mind. Taking a few people and teaching them together :-)

The people who want to teach a language (there are always some, as you can see in the language forums) could teach more students together, so it would be easier for the students to find teachers

Hello !

I think this is a good idea. Video lessons are a better way to start learning a language than books, so why not go on this way by doing something "in live" ? I know there's something like this on Skype, I don't know if there a possibility to do something like a "whiteboard" but if there is, it'd be very cool !

All we need would be a place to schedule the classes on Polyglot, and volunteers !
