How can I cancel the messages in my mail box in the heading " sent items" . Thanks.

First go to " Sent Items" , on the left arborescence. Then, check the box with the RED CROSS (top left). Check the box corresponding to the msg that you want to delete. BE AWARE that  if you check ALL the boxes, you will be deleting ALL the msg that you have sent. Also, all deletions that you make are PERMANENT. The last step is to confirm deletion by clicking OK on the pop up window.
