I live in the United Kingdom, which is a group of islands made up of England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and The Republic of Ireland: In the North Sea in North-West Europe. The UK has a lot of culture, there is so much to see here from the white cliffs at Dover, the houses of parliament, Big Ben, Football stadiums,  castles and bridges to Stonehenge: The list is endless. Not to forget our exquisite cities such as Edinburgh, Dublin, Cork, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, Glasgow, London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Bristol ... again the list is endless. Not to forget our vast miles of wonderous coastline, countryside and culture. And also some of the best nightlife around. So without doubt, the UK is a visit MUST for all.

Hi. My name is Gil Katz and I am from Israel. Israel is a small country (which you have probobly heard of) right between Asia, Europe and Africa. Israel is surrounded by arab countries: Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon. The scenary of Israel is extrodinary. In such a small territory, we have a beutiful dessert in the south, the wonderful dead sea in the easet, and the beutiful "europian" Golan heights and Galil in the north. Israel is also known for its clubs and night life (mostly in Tel Aviv) and for it's holy places (mostly Jerusalem). If you want to learn more about Israel or Hebrew, Please feel free to contact me with any question.[br][edited by gilka on 2005-09-08 12:37:56]

Hi, I'm in New Zealand, in the South Pacific (next to Australia, but definitely not part of it!) We have many different types of countryside, from very dry barren land to snowy mountains, glaciers, rain forests and fiords. We are the home of Edmund Hillary, Kiri Te Kanawa, the All Blacks rugby team, and of course, kiwis!

Portuguese salutations to all! My beautiful country is NOT a part of Spain, as many people might think. We're neighbours. Still, we have very different cultures. You may have heard about fado (a typical portuguese kind of music), Porto wine and Luís Figo. Yes. Those are all portuguese references known by the world. But we have so much more things to show... Anyway, if you're interested in knowing about a particular aspect of portuguese culture, just tell! By the way, great idea, Soula! It's good to have a forum about different cultures. Bye, bye to all! Adeus*

Hi, I´m from Argentina. Probably you´ve heard of it because of one of the greatest football players in the world, Diego Armando Maradona. It´s in South America. Its capital city is Buenos Aires, where tango music was born.Argentina has got different climates and landscapes. Our official language is Spanish. The places visited by tourists include the Iguazu Falls, Bariloche or Las Leñas where you can go skiing. They also travel on the Train of the Clouds in the north-east of the country. There are many national parks like El Palmar located in the province where I live, Entre Ríos.[br][edited by Talk on 2005-08-06 22:02:38]

I live in Lithuania which is in Middle Europe (maybe many think that it's in Eastern Europe but they're wrong because the centre of Europe is right here! We are a post soviet country as Ukraine or Poland but fortunately a year ago we joined European Union (btw, we're waiting for Ukraine to join us!). We have a wonderfull Baltic Sea in the West, we have big forests and many nice lakes and rivers, and our capital Vilnius is the greatest city in the world  So don't think that Lithuanians are only killers and thieves (well, some of them are, but I myself not)
