How do you say in Malay "Hello!  Good evening!"  I need to know how to say it in Malaysian terms because we will be having an Asian Cultural Night on January 30, in the occasion of our school president.  I have chosen Malaysian attire so I need to know how to greet and introduce myself in Malaysian words.  Thank you.

hello = hello or salam (normally used by Muslim)

evening = petang

good evening = selamat petang
