Hi everybody ! !

What about a Picnic next Sunday 14th of May in Parc Monsouri ?

AIM OF THE MEETING

The aim of that reunion will be to practice all languages, to share food specialties and to play music. In other words this will be a PLOC PLIK nic.

PLOC stands for Polyglot Learn Other Cultures : it means we can freely speak all languages.
PLIK stands for Polyglot LIve Karaoke : it means everybody can bring its music instrument (guitar, armonica, flute, violin ...). We will bring song partitions (folk, rock) from different country to distribute to those who want to participate.

As for the picnic verybody can bring something to drink and/or eat that we can share. It would be best if it is specialty from your region/country.

MEETING POINT AND TIME

The appointment will be at 1:00 pm inside of Maison Internationale of Cité internationale. RER B : Cité universitaire.

We'll meet inside the Maison Internationale Hall in front of the cash machines (where you can withdraw some money).

I will send you my mobile phone once you have registered just in case you are not sure of the meeting point.

If weather is good :

We'll have the picnic in the parc Monsouri just close to the Cité Internationale.

If weather is bad :

If the weather is bad (lots of clouds or rainny or cold), do not bring any picnic, we'll eat instead in the 'Restaurant universitaire'. it's 2€75 for student and about 4€ for visitors. The meeting point and hour will be the same : 1:00 pm in front of the cash machines.

Yes Chris, I agree, the photograph of the CIU main building posted here is gorgeous! I believe it was taken from the top of the entrance gate.

Well, I was enthused with this gathering. The weather was inviting, the participants sweet, and the food and music, both diverse and delightful. I enjoyed the event tremendously =)

There'll be some photographs posted here soon. Can't wait!

Hello,

Pour dimanche, ils annoncent des éclaircie et peut etre des averses.

Je vous suggère d'apporter quand même pique nique et instruments et on verra ce que l'on fait sur place. On peut toujours aller au resto u et dans le café de la cité.

Way rad! I have my axe to grind, and I'll bring along all the instruments that I can gather. Hope there'll be a motivated choir! All welcome, even the "bathroom singers"! ... (Hey, it takes one to recognize one!)
