soul, spirit, mind, heart... what's the difference? p

So,  霊魂, 魂, 精神, 心 are used to express spiritual part of a human being that is separate from the physical body.

To express ghost, we use （幽霊）、霊、霊魂、魂、but we don't use 精神 or 心。

To express mind, we use （意識）、心、but we don't use 霊魂 or 魂。

魂、精神、心 is used to express strong emotion, but 霊魂 is not.

I think the closest meaning English words are follows.

魂: soul

精神: spirit

心: heart

霊魂: "ghost" as a spirit of human in contrast to the physical body.
