Language learning meetings - First Polyglot meeting in Antwerp

And not making more confusion, this is for learning a language.If you want to learn French, Dutch, English, German, ....... you can.Where traying to mix the native speakers with the non-native (students -)And try to learn a language that way.It's in a bar because its easy and there is a lot of room.The all so will reserve a couple of table for us. Its a nice bar with good atmosphere.And yes there is beer (because it's a bar), but you not forcet to drink beer.It's not the mean reson.Where here for language and hope you will like it.ThanksBart

hello,

I'm just a bit confused. Or I might have misread or misunderstood. What about the native french speakers who want to learn either dutch, english or spanish? I guess everyone's welcome though I just wanted to clear this out before buying a return ticket to Antwerp :). And last question, would there be any meetings in Brussels?

I'm from Antwerp, learning Spanish. I would've liked to come, but I'll still be in Sweden on the 15th. Qué pena.

Is this just for peole speaking spanish, to learn dutch .. or speaking dutch to learn French? or was it only an example?

Moreover, is it just for people who appreciate beer...? :) i don't, maybe some others too.

Print them out and stick them in public places where you know there are lots of foreigners.

Hi everyone,

I think it's a great idea to try this. I can understand the problem for the youth, though.
I'm from Boom (below Antwerp city) and don't have a bus after 8pm but since last year, lucky for me, I own my very first car.

Unfortunately, i can't make it myself on the proposed date because i'm leaving on holiday.

If there's a change of date, let me know and I'll try to clear my calendar to be there.

By the way, my mothertongue is Dutch, but I also speak French, English, German and Spanish. I also have a basic knowledge of Italian.
My goal is to keep using the languages and to learn as many new languages as possible.

I hope you have a good 1st meeting !

eerst en vooral sorry dat ik niet in het Engels schreef.. hehe, ik wist het namelijk niet juist xD.

Ik begrijp het wel hoor. Ik zit er helemaal niet mee in. Ook omdat het dinsdag is en dat er mensen zijn die 's middags dan moeten werken.. Zo een picnic in de middag zie ik wel zitten :D

Wel, ik had het in het Engels geschreven zodanig niet-nedrlandstalige dit zouden kunnen lezen.

Nancy, ik heb niet gehoord via mijn gsm. Sorry dat je mij niet kon bereiken. Dit is de allereerste keer dat ik dit doe, dus moet ik het allemaal leren. Ik denk dat we gewoon samen komen en zien wie er wat wil leren. Die gaan samen zitten, ne babbel doen en zo iets bij leren ? Dat was mijn idee ? mijn nummer is steeds 0496/657.941

Frodo, sorry hoor ! Maar deze datum komt mij goed uit, weet wel dat voor sommige dus niet is. Begrijp je (lichte) frustratie, maar moet dit combineren ook met de mensen van CouchSurfing. Zodanig dat dit meestal s'avonds valt. Het is mogelijk dat we wel eens een meeting (picnic-meeting)doen op een zonnige namiddag.

Maar ik wil eerst eens zien of dat deze natuurlijk lukt ! -)

Ik heb geprobeerd u te bereiken op het GSM-nummer maar kreeg geen aansluiting. Ik ben nederlandstalig maar heb net 6 jaar avondles Spaans achter de rug. Ik zou graag wat meer kunnen spreken met spaanstalige mensen en hen natuulijk ook wat Nederlands bijbrengen natuurlijk. Is dit ook mogelijk op de meetings en hoe verlopen deze meetings?

Hey (geen idee of ik het nu in het engels of in het nederlands moet zeggen..)

Ik ben 16 en ik woon in België. Namelijk in Limburg. Ik zou ontzettend graag willen gaan, maar omdat het redelijk laat is kan ik niet gaan. Het is nogal onverantwoord om een meisje van 16 jaar in de avond naar huis te laten gaan als die in de uithoeken van België woont. Waarom zou deze meeting niet gewoon in de namiddag kunnen? 's Avonds is ook fijn natuurlijk. En dat is ook geen probleem voor mensen die ouder zijn en niet met het openbaar vervoer moeten ofzo. Maar ehm, denk eens aan de jongeren? xD Het zijn er misschien niet veel, en misschien ben ik ook wel de allerjongste. Maar toch vind ik dat er rekening mee moet gehouden worden.

Allez, dat wou ik even kwijt xD
