The 'Every Saturday Meeting' is dedicated to conversations in *All Languages*. This gathering will be held right in the center of Paris (Saint-Germain des Prés). You will be able to practice your favorite languages with participants from all over the world.
Polyglot Club will propose a new concept, the 'Language Conversation Table'. We will assign one foreign language for each table, and materialize them with little flags. One table will host English speakers, another table French, Spanish, German, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, and a large central table ( E.U. flag) will host all other vernaculars that do not fit in any other table. Members adept at 'code-switching', and who wish to jump freely from one idiom to the next, are welcome around that central table =)
Later, those in the mood for dancing and 'body language' will find great clubs around the corner
encourages you to avoid speaking your native language
with another member if you share the same mother tongue

Quartier général des étudiants de Sciences-Po, Le Basile est un café que l'on choisit pour son cachet des années 50-60. Les banquettes en moleskine bleu pétrole rappellent l'âme bon enfant d'un réfectoire d'école ajoutez à cela de zelés ventilateurs chromés et une photo de Mick Jagger et vous aurez une idée du décor. Au bar, on trouve les incontournables quiches et hamburgers servis avec salade ainsi que des pâtisseries au chocolat...(Cityvox)

tu peux te rassurer ! il y a beaucoup de gens qui hésitent à venir par timidité mais je n'en connais pas un qui l'a regretté
si ton niveau en anglais est débutant pas de pb! au pire, tu peux tjours parler français avec les nombreux étrangers qui veulent apprendre cette langue. Je pense qu'en français tu n'as pas de pb non ??

Bonjour à tous,
Je me suis inscrite très récemment avec mon ami pour améliorer mon anglais, et je n'ai encore jamais participé à une soirée Polyglot, et j'appréhende un peu, je ne parle vraiment pas très bien anglais, j'ai peur d'etre ridicule et je suis surtout timide...
J'ai lu plusieurs messages qui me rassurent, mais je voulais savoir si avec un niveau anglais très débutant on ne reste pas trop à l'écart... En tout cas votre site est une super idée, longue vie à vous )

Polyglot Club members meet EVERY Tuesday, Thursday night (Snax Café) and Saturday night (Basile). On any given Polyglot Club Meeting, you will typically find about HALF foreigners and half French native speakers. It so happens that the French are always matched or outnumbered by speakers of many different languages, INCLUDING German.
Je suis assez nouvelle chez polyglot, et j'aurai voulu savoir s'il y'avait un autre soir avec une telle organisation... j'y suis allée jeudi dernier - au snax - et on est plein de francophones -) J'aimerais plutôt pratiquer l'allemand... / I don't know so much about polyglot, but i'm quite impressed by the organisation at the "Basil bar". I would like to know if there are other evening organised in that way... i wend last thursday at the snax and we were so many french speakers ! (i wish to practice another language) -)

So untill september, where shall we meet on saturday evening ?
Summer is the most enjoyed season for outings.
I cannot believe that the saturday night activity will stop during this particular months.
Please let me know, I did come twice and really enjoyed the time chattering with other polyglot members.

Carole, aucune raison d'être anxieuse: plein de gens très sympas. Pour finaliser ton inscription, est-ce que tu as cliqué sur OK à droite de
"I want to register to this meeting plus other friends " ? Sinon s'il y a effectivement un problème technique, pas de souci, cela ne t'empêche aucunement de participer!
