Chennai is an IT hub too, houses top software corporations of the world. With over 200 recognized engineering colleges, the state churns out skilled workers who join high profile jobs with these corporations.
Agriculture still remains the primary occupation of the state. Special fact about the state is its insistence on spirituality. Its got temples that are 10's of hundreds of years old and still stand as monuments of ancient history. They are also places of power which change lives of pilgrims who visit them from all over the country.
Native language of the state is Tamil however most are able to communicate in English. One can also find help in Hindi easily as the state has embraced settlers from all over the country.
Tamil Nadu is the Southern most tip of the Indian Subcontinent. The southern Tip Cape Comorin/Kanyakumari is the meeting point of three oceans viz. Indian Ocean, Arabian sea and Bay of Bengal. Interestingly, in this tip, you can view the sun-rise and sunset at the same time (unbelievable isn't it. .. you gotta be there to believe!!! :)
