Hello all the POLYGLOTS from Bangkok,

I would like to improve my Thai, while I'm in Thailand. Likewise, if you want to practice your English, French, or any other language, feel free to join us during this Meeting. If you are tired of theoretical learning, and of trying memorize entire lists of vocabulary, now is the time for *Hands On* learning, fun and practical training in a real social situation.

PLEASE REGISTER TO THIS MEETING IF YOU WANT TO COME  !

When you enter the Library say "I come for the POLYGLOT meeting"

For last-minute questions or if you get lost call Gary on 08 5909 9174

Picture from the last meeting in Bangkok First joint Bangkok Polyglot & Couchsurfing meeting, 27-10-07 (bangkok, Thailand)

WHEN ?

Sunday 11th of November at 1:00  pm

WHERE ?

The Neilson Hays Library

195 Surawong Road, Bangkok 10500, Thailand

This location was suggested by Gorman.

The library is  located on Surawong Road right next door to the British Club. The Library is a 15- to 20-minute walk from the BTS Skytrain station at Chong Nonsi or Surasak.

Taxi drivers won't usually know where 'Hong Samut Neilson Hay' is, and the library is a little hidden.

So as you come up Surawong Road towards the river (it's a one-way street) look for the Voravit Building (on right hand side). The British Club is opposite (on the left hand side). There is a small 7-11 just next to the British Club, and the library is just next to the 7-11, behind the bus stop (opposite the old TOT offices).

The library is also on the corner of Silom Soi 20 (Soi Pradit). If you are coming from Silom Road (504 or 544 bus) then get off at Wat Khaek (opposite Central Dept Store and diagonally opposite Narai Hotel) and walk down Soi 20 to the other end.

Hi!
I am a Polyglot member from Paris, France.
I'm reaching Bangkok tomorrow and was wondering if there'd be any meeting going on there.
Anyways, I'd like to drop by the library some night while I'm there to meet you guys up.
If you feel like joining that would be great...let me know

Phouthong

Hi vincent,

Good to hear from you.Actually, right now we are working on ways to use the momentum from our last meeting and create a good basis for future activities.

Maybe we can discuss some ideas further on? My mail is [contact me: erezsp].

Maybe there's a chance to gather some people for this Loi Krathong?

Ek.

Hello Everybody,

Here is the last info from Gary who help us organize :

--

It's all been arranged. There's nothing to reserve as we will be using the cafe. There might be other library visitors there as well, but it's not too busy on a Sunday.

The cafe is already reserved exclusively for another group from 4pm onwards. But we can go outside into the garden at that point. The library is open till 5pm and we can sit inside. There is plenty of room - tables, chairs, bean bags

The cafe is also offering a special set menu for under 200 baht, but most people will probably choose from the standard menu anyway.

How I hate to miss this meeting as  I am leaving Bangkok at the end of the month! So I hope I can see many of you already on the 27th, at Siamsquare Centerpoint  especially those who cannot wait another 4 weeks .  The Bangkok group  is starting to look really good, with  two  great  meetings on the horizon!

Hello EVERYBODY,

LOOK OUT THE DAY HAS BEEN CHANGED!!

Following the suggestion of Gorman, I have changed the meeting date from  sunday 4th of November to sunday 11th of November.

That way  I think I  can ensure a maximum participant (and the maximum fun) and not interfere with the other meeting (organized by  lepolyglotte on Saturday 27th of this month)

By the way,  I  suggest you to also attend the other meeting  and register HERE

All the BEST
