Phuket is the name of the town and also the region ( province ) of an island in the south of Thailand

Although  in the  early last century it was mainly a tin mining region ( and also of cours   fishing harbour )  it has changed gradually over the last years to become a booming tourist destination .

About 6.5 million visitors each year visit the island known for his beaches , national parks , waterfalls and surrouniding islands

The many tourists from all over the world raised also intrest  with   the local  people  to improved knowledge of other languages .

That is why we decided to start Polyglot meetings in Phuket ,to give the people the opportunity to practise their language skills in a relaxed atmosphere
