Welcome to Ankara Polyglot Network!

ANKARA... 'Amazing Capital of Turkey'

Ankara is the capital of Turkey and the country's second largest city after İ stanbul. The city has a population of approximately 4,5 million and it has a mean elevation of 850 m (2800 ft). The city was formerly known as Ancyra.

Ankara, a modern city, situated at the core of Anatolia, hides an ancient site behind, dating back to prehistorical times. The remains from Urartian, Phrygian and Hittite periods have beautifed the area here, now fascinating the visitors by enlivening the respective periods. Ankara today is a center of history and culture and a lively nightlife.

Ankara is the center of the Turkish Government, and houses all foreign embassies. Therefore, Ankara, as the capital of Turkish Republic, is a very important region for international relations.

We, as POLYGLOT ANKARA,  will organize wonderful meetings to bring all Polyglot Ankara  members from different nations and backgrounds together. With your valuable support, POLYGLOT ANKARA will be one of the most active regions of Polyglot...

For all of your questions and ideas, please do not hesitate to contact me any time  (Cuore).
