Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, our Monday evenings will be held at Curlers, and Thursdays will be at Tennent's!

When you arrive at Tennent's from the Byres Rd entrance, you will usually find the two tables on the left reserved for our group.

Frequently Asked Questions

What level of proficiency is required to participate?
The group welcomes participants of all levels, from beginners to native speakers. It is beneficial to have at least some conversational ability to fully engage in the sessions!

If I can't make it exactly at 7:00 PM, is that a problem?
The gatherings are very casual, and we usually stay for a few hours, so feel free to join whenever you can. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and no one is there yet, give it some time as people tend to arrive within 15-20 minutes!

What if only one person has RSVP'd for the event?
While the event page may show low RSVP numbers, we typically have a regular attendance of around 10-15 people.

If you're looking to practice and improve your Spanish or English, join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7pm on Mondays and Thursdays. We have different hosts on different nights, and occasionally none, but there will always be friendly people to give you a warm welcome. You can find us at the top of the stairs where we'll be seated on the long benches. We're excited to meet you and chat in Spanish and English.

We begin with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' to ensure each language receives equal time and to introduce fun topics to keep everyone engaged. We can't wait to see our regular attendees and extend a warm welcome to new members.
