Hello everyone!

I'm Miguel, a Ph.D. in Contemporary History.

For those who know me, you know my specialization is in social history and the labor movement, that's why we'll dedicate this route to:

THE WORKER, ANARCHIST, AND REBEL BARCELONA

Chronologically, this is the first of the trilogy routes dedicated to the social history of Barcelona (although each one is independent and can be done out of order).

It seems that present-day Barcelona is determined to bury its anarchist past. Not by us. If you enjoy routes with unconventional themes (even politically incorrect), this is for you. We'll explore mythical, yet lesser-known, places of the history and origins of the Barcelona labor movement.

We'll delve into the social dimension and presence of anarchism in our city, discussing strikes, bombs, insurrections, persecutions, and cultural centers.

Therefore, we'll explore the key events of the city's labor movement history during the 19th and 20th centuries, following the implementation and development of anarchist ideas in Barcelona.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Miguel
