Serbian cinema has a long history, spanning from the early 20th century to modern-day masterpieces. Modern Serbian Films
Serbian cinema has gained international recognition in recent decades. Emerging directors have contributed to the critical acclaim of Serbian cinema. Among them are:
- Emir Kusturica - A two-time Palme d'Or winner at Cannes Festival for "When Father Was Away on Business" and "Underground". His films tend to be surreal, containing strong social and political commentaries.
