발음 규칙[सम्पादन | स्रोत सम्पादित करें]

There are some rules to help you with the pronunciation of Korean words:

  1. The letters ㄱ, ㄷ, ㅂ, ㅅ, ㅈ are pronounced as aspirated consonants when they come at the beginning of a word or when they are doubled.
  2. The letters ㄴ, ㄹ, ㅁ, ㅇ are pronounced as non-aspirated consonants.
  3. When the letter ㅇ appears at the beginning of a word, it is pronounced as ng.
  4. The letters ㄹ and ㅇ have a different pronunciation depending on their position in a word. At the beginning of a word, ㄹ is pronounced as l, and ㅇ is pronounced as ng. But in the middle or at the end of a word, ㄹ is pronounced as r, and ㅇ is silent.
  5. The letter ㅎ is pronounced as h, but it is silent when it appears at the end of a word.

Now that you know the basic rules, let's practice some more.
