“To be in the mood for” or “to feel like” in Hindi
“To be in the mood for this” or to “feel like this” is man lagnā, which roughly translates as “having a mind to …”.
Further examples of usage:
- khāne kā man nahīñ lagtā = I don’t feel like eating;
- jāne kāman nahīñ lagtā = I don’t feel like going;
- ghar jāne kā man nahīñ lagtā = I don’t feel like going home.
Of course, by dropping the nahīñ (not), the sentences will get a positive meaning.
