  • Уллар яшьган җир (ullar yaşğan çir) = They live in a place

In Tatar, as in other languages, the possessive pronouns show ownership. Let's take a look at the possessive pronouns in Tatar.

  • Сезнең китапыңыз әпәнә (sezneñ kitapıñız äpänä) = Your book is on the table (formal)
  • Синең руларың яңа (sineñ rularıñ yaña) = Your (informal) wheels are new
  • Улның кандай картасы (ulnıñ kanday kartası) = His/her/its map
  • Бизнең эсерләрең белән (bizneñ eserlärеñ belän) = Our works and projects
  • Сезләрнең фотосурәт өстәпкә (sezlärneñ fotosurät östepkä) = Your (plural) photo is uploaded
  • Улларның мәғәрәбәсе (ullarnıñ mäğäräbe) = Their mosque

Demonstrative Pronouns[edit | edit source]

Demonstrative pronouns in Tatar are used to specify the distance of the object or the idea being referred to.

бу (bu) [bu] this/these
ош (oş) [oʃ] that/those
нәрсе (närse) [nærse̞] something

Demonstrative pronouns provide additional information about the object. Here are some examples:
